*FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS, AND NEVER FORGOTTEN*

Edie 05/28/1988 - 02/08/2002

Edie - Flame Point Himalayan

5/28/88 - 2/8/02

Edie was my first himalayan and a gift to me from my brother.  The house we bought her from had python aquariums built into the walls and I believe I saved her from being "snake-food."  They told me that Himalayans did not meow (which I learned later was an outright lie) because apparently she had had some trauma to her vocal chords and had a very raspy meow.  My brother's friend Jack, nick-named her "wheezy" because of it.  Edie and I went through a lot together in the time she was with me, including a move to New York City where she loved being a big city cat and would take frequent walks and subway rides to the parks with me.  she holds a very special place in my heart.

Emma - from this summer 2003

12/26/01 - 12/11/03

I had bought Emma as a pet after I had lost Edie and I showed her in CFA's household pet class where she obtained many ribbons including a best household pet ribbon!  She loved the attention that she got showing, even though all the judges made comments about her tongue tipping habit!   She was allowed to do it in household pet class though, so it was ok!  she loved water and you had to be careful when filling the bath tub, you would often find her wading in it!!  She also loved to sit on the kitchen counters where she had to have her water bowl up there, away from the other cats.  She even climbed into one of the kitchen cabinets one day and sat among my dishes, sitting there all picturesque with her little pink tongue sticking out!  I think of her often when I open the cabinet!  She passed away quietly at home and we are so very saddened and mourning her loss.  She will be sadly missed, but we are grateful for the time that we did have with her.

CH. Jentopia's Kahlua 'N Cream - Tortie Point Female (pictured in center at 5 months old)

 4/17/04 - 10/26/06

I lost my beloved Kahlua on 10/26/06 after she had birthing complications, she passed away on the way to the vet's office.  I lost all of the kittens in the litter too.  I miss her so much, words cannot express the loss that I hold in my heart.  I just have a big empty hole where my heart used to be... it will take a long time to recover from her loss.  Luckily I do have 2 beautiful daughters (sisters Mairzy Doats and Dozy Doats born 4/27/05) of hers to ease my pain.  When I miss her, I pull them over and hug them to pieces.  Kahlua was a very special girl and I will miss her forever, every single day...

Poem For Cats

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.
